Our original plan when we set up camau was to publish our own hiking ebooks, specifically to highlight the stunning landscapes that Wales has to offer walkers.

When we were approached by Tomasz Janczuk, founder of Mobile Chapters, we weren’t sure we wanted to publish apps as well as ebooks (all that new technology to learn).

Our ebooks already provide interesting background information, fact files, links to attractions, pubs, cafes and mapping plus very detailed walking instructions.

Tomasz helped us understand how the app format could enhance the already great content of our ebooks and offer walkers more choice on how they access their travel and hiking information.

We listened and took action. Tomasz gave us lots of support and advice on how to transform our existing ebooks to apps and we’re delighted with the results.

Thanks to Mobile Chapters, camau will now be publishing all its books in app format as well as in ebook and Made for iBooks format.

In addition to the original content, our apps will also provide:

  •  integrated maps
  •  current information about the weather
  •  local events listings
  • a convenient phone book.

Our apps are available for iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire, and Windows Phone devices, and are distributed through Apple, Google, Amazon, and Microsoft application stores in over 190 countries.

You can view a samples of our apps, Dylan’s Walks and Monmouthshire Castle Walks by visiting Mobile Chapters’ store.
