The England Coast Path is due to open in 2020.
When complete this new National Trail will provide 4500 kilometres (2,795 miles) of walking and follow England’s entire coastline.
The route will include many popular existing trails, e.g. the South West Coast Path, the Cleveland Way and the Suffolk Coast Path.
The England Coast Path will link to the Wales Coast Path at its border with Wales, i.e. at the Severn Bridge Crossing.
